- Architecture and morphology of a scientific articlePublication . Lopes, Carlos; Antunes, Maria Da Luz; Sanches, TatianaThe overview of the scientific articles follows a structure established either by the editorial tradition and scientific ethics or as a result of the consolidated experience of communication in science. This architectural and morphological structure, worked for the purpose of publication, challenges the new authors in several ways, which serve as a motto and guide for this chapter: Why publish?; Publish yes, but where?; Improve the chances of acceptance; What writing style do you use?; How to organize writing? What to consider before submitting?; and finally, How to proceed if the article is rejected? The ideas expressed here serve as practical indications that show important strategies for publishing scientific articles.

- Changing roles for research and Information skills development: librarians as teachers, researchers as learnersPublication . Sanches, TatianaUniversity libraries have been dealing with the training needs of their users for a long time. Today, this need continues to be pressing with day to day immersion in print and digital information and the transformations of the tools for its access. Librarians play a fundamental pedagogical role for teachers and researchers who are urged by the Open Science movement to acquire new information skills. They develop information literacy training adapted to these needs. The paper presents a case study that explains three pedagogical paths: tutorial support for teachers and researchers in their daily lives; the provision of electronic resources and training for its proper use; and the development and dissemination of an online publication that seeks to improve their knowledge and practice skills related to Open Science. The actions that librarians can develop are vital because they are the basis for the creation and application of cross-curricular skills in lifelong learning, so necessary for teachers and researchers who need to quickly adapt to new information contexts.

- Competencies and skills for tourism education advancement: A bibliometric a analysis and literature reviewPublication . Au-Yong-Oliveira, Manuel; Bampoori, Mastoureh; Moreira, Ana; Grassos, TheodorosHow may we secure a more sustainable path, in future, for the tourism industry? Following the Covid-19 pandemic, which made evident some frailties and need for change in the tourism industry, the tourism scenario has evolved, and a great deal of upskilling and reskilling is now necessary. Consumer attitudes have altered and are now more focused on sustainable tourism and other such related themes. This study is an attempt to shed light on competencies and skills for tourism education advancement—whether by universities or by VET. Hence, a bibliometric analysis was performed as was a literature review. The bibliometric analysis identified some key themes using the VOS viewer tool and the Scopus database. Digital skills, soft skills, emotional intelligence, but above all the ability to seek out what one needs to know (ability to self-determine and be self-motivated), in the era of technology, stand out. The literature review identified green skills (×4), global skills (×4), digital skills (×6), and digital apps (×4)—related to competencies and skills for tourism education/training advancement.
