Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: The present study is based on the Fritz and Avsec (2007), in which I’m interested to verify if flow, an optimal psychological state of gratitude that one can reach when in communion with what are doing at the time, is associated with positive and negative affects. 43 students from the High School of Palmela linked to the Conservatory (15male and 28 female) completed the Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) and the Dispositional Flow Scale (DFS -2), this last in two distinct moments 3 weeks apart. Results confirm that positive affects are higher than negative affects, highlighting “Unambiguous Feedback” and “Sense of Control”. “Concentration” it’s the flow dimension that triggers more negative affects. I am also able to confirm by the correlation of flow in the two separate moments, considering the values close to 1, that flow is actually dispositional. Therefore I can conclude that flow is connected to positive emotional aspects and is constant in time.
