Abstract(s)
O presente estudo examina
(PCV-Mãe) e professores (PCV-P) (Dias Soares, Freire, & Rios, 2007) permitiram analisar a
A percepção
ABSTRACT: Attachment has a fundamental influence during the course of life, namely on future relationships and self perception (Bowlby, 1980a). In this study the author analysed the perceptions of 43 women and 39 men about their parents bonding behaviour using Parental Bonding Instrument (Parker, Tupling, & Brown, 1979), and stress perception on their current child relationships, according to the Portuguese version of Parental Stress Index (Abidin, 1995). The child attachment behaviour perception of parent and teacher for 43 children between 6 and 8 years old, was gathered using Attachment Behaviour Perception Scale for mothers (PCV-M) and teachers (PCV-P) (Dias, Soares, Freire, & Rios, 2007). Child's competence and acceptance in specific self-esteem precursor domains were analysed using Harter and Pike (1984) Pictorial Scale, which is being adapted by Mata, Monteiro and Peixoto (2008). The author found associations between a high parental stress perception and inadequate parental bonding. This stressful parent-child system (Willinger, Diendorfer- Radner, Willnauer, Jorgl, & Hager, 2005) is associated with child low self-esteem precursors, and emotional regulation difficulty, thus reinforcing the stressful parent-child system idea.
