Análise qualitativa da experiência de residir numa casa de abrigo para mulheres que sofreram violência conjugal

| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo apresenta uma análise qualitativa das experiências de residir numa casa de abrigo para mulheres que sofreram violência conjugal. Aquilo que se pretendeu através da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas a seis mulheres que residiam numa casa de abrigo, foi analisar as suas vivências a partir de cinco dimensões diferentes: (i) a casa de abrigo enquanto instituição; (ii) as motivações e expetativas para ser acolhida e primeiros dias de acolhimento; (iii) sentimentos de mudança e perspetivas de futuro; (iv) estabelecimento e qualidade das relações interpessoais entre as mulheres e entre estas e o staff técnico; e (v) importância do empowerment organizacional para as mulheres acolhidas. Os resultados deste estudo apontam para que no geral as mulheres acolhidas numa casa de abrigo estão satisfeitas com as condições da mesma do ponto de vista das condições físicas, dos apoios prestados e em relação ao staff técnico. Em relação às suas experiências pessoais as mulheres consideram que o facto de se encontrarem acolhidas, lhes tem permitido desenvolver competências pessoais bem como sentem mudanças relacionadas com o facto de se sentirem mais livres e seguras. Por outro lado, denotam algumas dificuldades em estabelecer objetivos e fazer tomadas de decisão de forma rápida. No que diz respeito às relações interpessoais entre as mulheres acolhidas, apesar de terem relações solidárias, são muito marcadas pela desconfiança e pelo isolamento. Também é referida a falta de privacidade e a ausência de qualquer envolvimento em atividades relacionadas com a gestão organizacional da casa de abrigo. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: This study presents a qualitative analysis of the experiences of living in a shelter for women who have suffered domestic violence. What was intended by conducting semi -structured interviews to six women who resided in a shelter, was to analyze their experiences from five different dimensions: (i) the shelter as an institution ; (ii) the motivations and expectations to be accepted and the first days of sheltering, (iii) feelings of change and prospects for the future; (iv) establishment and quality of interpersonal relationships among women and between them and the technical staff; and (v) the importance of organizational empowerment for women in the shelter. The results of this study indicate that in general women accommodated in the shelter are satisfied with its conditions from the point of view of physical conditions and the with the support provided and with technical staff. Regarding their personal experiences, women consider that the fact of being in a shelter, has allowed them to develop personal skills and feel changes related to the fact that they feel more free and safe. On the other hand, denote some difficulties in establishing goals and make decision-making quickly. In relation to interpersonal relationships among women despite supportive relationships, they are very marked by distrust and isolation. It is also referred the lack of privacy and the absence of any involvement in activities related to organizational management of the shelter. | por |
