Abstract(s)
The problem of identity was examined through Franz Kafka’s literary works (The Castle and The Trial), in which his early childhood relationship with his father was put into evidence in the course of the primary relationship. In this approach to Kafka the man, the importance of his relationship with his father brings forth the argument of premature experience of development as the mould of human potentialities. In a broader sense, I attempted to show the way in which Kafka’s narrative of the absurd seems to shape the founding problem of the human experience: the condition of being an individual.
