O presente estudo tem como objetivo estudar a prevalĂȘncia de abusos sexuais de crianças na população portuguesa.
O estudo conta com 135 participantes, com uma idade compreendida entre os 18 e os 25 anos.
Os participantes preencheram o questionĂĄrio demogrĂĄfico e o âChildhood Sexual Experiences Questionaireâ (CSQE) de Altman (2005).
Os resultados obtidos demonstram uma prevalĂȘncia de abusos sexual de crianças de 23%. A taxa de prevalĂȘncia no gĂ©nero feminino (19,3%) foi superior Ă taxa de prevalĂȘncia no gĂ©nero masculino (3,7%). A idade de ocorrĂȘncia do abuso varia entre os 5 e os 10 anos, sendo a idade mĂ©dia de 8,94 anos. Em relação Ă idade de fim do abuso, a mĂ©dia de idades Ă© de 10,19 anos. Relativamente Ă idade do agressor, esta varia entre os 10 e os 68 anos, sendo a mĂ©dia de idades de 27,3 anos. Ao nĂvel da ligação da criança com o agressor, uma percentagem de 48,4% dos agressores eram conhecidos pela criança. Constatou-se tambĂ©m que as situaçÔes sexuais mais identificadas foram: âSer apalpado por cima da roupaâ (94%) e âAlguĂ©m lhe mostrar os genitaisâ (74,2%).
The present study aims to study the prevalence of childhood sexual abuse in the portuguese population. The study has 135 participants, with an age between 18 and 25 years. The participants filled out demographic questionaire and the âChildhood Sexual Experiences Questionaireâ (CSQE) de Altman (2005). The results show a prevalence of childhood sexual abuse of 23%. The prevalence rate in females (19,3%) was higher that the prevalence in males (3,7%). The age of occurance of abuse varies between 5 and 10 years, with the average age of 8,94 years. In relation to the age of the end of the abuse, the average age of 10,19 years. Regarding the age of the perpetrator, this varies between 10 and 68 years, and the average of age is 27,3 years. At the level of connection of the child with the agressor, a percentage of 48,4% of the agressores were know by the child. It was also noted that the more sexual situations identifed were âBe palpated above the clothesâ (94%) and âSomeone show the genitalsâ (74,2%).
