A genialidade de Pessoa serviu de estímulo inicial a este trabalho, que pretende
abordar a vida e a obra do poeta, sobre a perspectiva da incapacidade de amar. A
viagem pelo mundo interior de Pessoa inicia-se na sua biografia. O narcisismo, o
amor e a capacidade de estar só servem-nos de enquadramento teórico. A análise
da incapacidade de amar e a análise das fragilidades do eu irão ilustrar o porquê
do poeta múltiplo ter vivido mergulhado numa profunda solidão.
ABSTRACT: It was the genius of Pessoa which served as the initial stimulus for this work, where we aim to address the life and work of the poet, in a perspective of the inability to love. The journey through Pessoa´s inner world begins in his biography. The narcissism, the love and ability to be alone give us the theoretical framework. The analysis of the inability to love and the analysis of the weaknesses of one’s self will illustrate why the multiple layered poet lived in deep loneliness.
