Abstract(s)
no desenvolvimento e aprendizagem, requerendo apoio permanente. A intervenção precoce
This work aimed to analyze a particular case of early intervention in a child with cerebral palsy, using the intrinsic case study methodology (Stake, 1994). It was important to realize that these children have long lasting special educational needs and severe limitations in cognitive and emotional functioning. They are also associated with limitations in other areas, particularly on motor and/or sensory (visual and auditory) with effects on learning and development, requiring continued support. Early intervention aims to promote adequate stimulation to the needs of children through the outlining of objectives, methods, strategies, activities and task analysis. Thus, we sought to demonstrate the importance of an early intervention program in the development of a child with cerebral palsy and in the family.
