Abstract(s)
migrantes, principalmente aquelas recém-chegadas.
ABSTRACT: Through a variety of data collection tools, including interviews, participant observation, focus groups, and field diaries, this dissertation aimed to listen to the narratives of migrant families in Portugal from South Asia about how they experience the processes of inclusion in a school in the center of Lisbon. The involvement of migrant families plays a crucial role in building intercultural education and addressing the various challenges faced by migrant populations, especially those who are newly arrived. However, this study also concludes that more inclusive environments with practices that aim to strengthen the school-family/community relationship serve not only migrant populations but are essential for all individuals and families as they embrace diversity and promote the well-being and learning development of children and young people.
