| dc.description.abstract | A gaguez é uma das patologias da linguagem mais enigmáticas, caracterizada por uma desordem no ritmo e fluência de diálogo, que surge mais frequentemente entre os dois e os cinco anos, período em que os pais têm um papel determinante no bem-estar e desenvolvimento da criança, em todas as áreas. Neste contexto, tem-se observado que quando a criança começa a demonstrar algumas hesitações no seu discurso, as atitudes e comportamentos dos pais, nomeadamente as correcções que fazem à criança, podem, paradoxalmente, aumentar as dificuldades em falar. O presente estudo tem como objectivo analisar a problemática da gaguez, tendo em consideração a importância do meio familiar, mais particularmente, das figuras parentais, nas representações da criança como falante. Consideramos que este estudo pode ser uma mais valia, quer para técnicos, quer principalmente para familiares de crianças com gaguez, no sentido de os consciencializar da importância do seu papel, no desenvolvimento da criança e das atitudes mais adequadas face à sua gaguez. ------- ABSTRACT ------ The stutter is one of the most enigmatic language pathologies characterized by a disorder on the dialogues’ rhythm and fluency, which frequently happens to children with ages between two and five years old, period that gives to the parents a determinant role on the child’s welfare and growth, in all areas. Under these circumstances, it has been observed that when the child starts showing some hesitations about its speech, the parents’ attitudes and behaviors, particularly the corrections they make to the child, may, paradoxically, increase the difficulty on speaking. This study aims the analysis of stutter considering the importance of the familiar environment, more particularly the parental figures on the child’s representations as a speaker. We consider that this study may be an added value, not only for experts, but also, and mainly, to the stutterer child’s family, on an attempt to aware them about their role importance on the child’s growth and the most suitable attitudes towards its stutter. | por |
