| dc.description.abstract | Com o presente trabalho procura-se abordar a temática da velhice e do processo que lhe está subjacente, o envelhecimento, tendo em vista a compreensão dos conceitos em causa no que se refere à história e à visão por parte da psicologia, bem como de outras disciplinas. Para tal, recorre-se a uma tentativa de situar os conceitos no tempo, perspectivando-os historicamente, assim como a uma descrição mais ou menos detalhada do que se considera relevante tendo em conta o objectivo do trabalho, sendo este o de demonstrar através da apresentação de algumas teorias que, de alguma forma contrariam a visão convencional e estática que prevalece acerca da velhice e do envelhecimento. O intuito é o de contribuir de alguma forma para uma possível integração de uma visão mais positiva da velhice e do envelhecimento. As teorias apresentadas ao longo da introdução, cumprem uma espécie de abertura de caminho ao âmago do presente trabalho, designadamente o envelhecimento bem sucedido com vista ao bem-estar na velhice. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present paper seeks to address the issue of old age and the process behind it, the aging, in order to understand the concepts in question, regarding the history and vision on the part of psychology and other disciplines. To this end, it was an attempt to situate the concepts on time, historically viewed them, as well as a more or less detailed description of what is considered relevant in view of the objective of the work, which is to demonstrate through presentation of some theories that, in any way contradict the conventional and static view that prevails on the old age and the aging. The aim is to contribute in any way for a possible integration of a more positive vision of old age and aging. The theories presented during the introduction, meet a kind of opening the path to the heart of this work, designated the successful aging for the well being in old age. | pt_PT |
