Abstract(s)
In order to elaborate a compreensive study about the nature and expression of creativity in giftedness, we proceeded to the definition of a case study, the revision of the existing literature, the aplication of the Rorschach Test, the elaboration of a report and its quatitative and qualitative analysis. The participant was a gifted 14 year old young man, chosen from a weekly group for gifted children in Universidade Lusófona. Creativity was studied based upon the criteria of multiple authors, belonging to both the cognitive and psychoanalytical models. This analysis, however, was more deeply studied based on the psychoanalytical model, for whose authors studying creativity implied studying the process of symbolization and relationship between the symbols and the inner psychic life of our subject. The results showed significant creativity based on the criteria of a number of authors, but not in the authors of the psychoanalytical model in which we based our study more deeply. Those being Klein, Segal e Bion. This was found because the symbols created by our subject did not offer a solution for the problems that were arising, nor manage to resolve the anguish that the Rorschach test awoke in him.
