Abstract(s)
do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
tecnologia, a engenharia, as artes e a matemática.
ABSTRACT: The current report was conceived within the scope of the master’s degree in Pre School and Primary Education, in the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice. The investigation started with observation and participation in the daily dynamic of a second-year classroom of Primary Education. The goal of this study was to implement interdisciplinary activities with a STEAM education approach, which embraces areas such as science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The methodology applied in the study was qualitative, having chosen a participant observation and having registers of the STEAM approached activity sequence as instruments for this study. Throughout these activities, we managed to show how possible it is to plan and implement STEAM education activities and to show how the students react and participate in those proposed activities, as well as to understand what they think they have learned from the activities. We concluded that the development of the activities added value to the development and education of these children, encouraging them to be more curious and to know more about the world around them.
