| dc.description.abstract | Após uma breve contextualização histórica, partimos da noção psicanalítica de Trauma aplicada à experiência dos sobreviventes do Holocausto, para enquadrar duas obras literárias de Primo Levi, um desses sobreviventes, numa das duas correntes da literatura dita de testemunho, e estabelecer uma interrogação de base para este trabalho: o que pretende Primo Levi reparar com a sua escrita, que foi destruído dentro de si pela experiência no Lager. Ao longo da pesquisa delineou-se, alicerçada no texto das obras Se Isto é um Homem e Os que Sucumbem e os que se Salvam a hipótese de se tratar de uma tentativa de reparação do “bom objecto” interno; e propôs-se então um corolário, apoiado por propostas de alguns autores sobre a incapacidade de reparação que afecta a escrita memorial: o do falhanço inevitável dessa tentativa de Levi em face das especificidades do trauma sofrido, falhanço que procuramos entender e explicar à luz da teoria da Mãe Morta, de André Green. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Following a brief historical contextualization, we start from the psychoanalytical concept of Trauma applying it to the experience of Holocaust survivors in order to frame two literary works of one of such survivors, Primo Levi, within one of the two streams of Testimonial Literature, and thus present a base question for this work: what is Primo Levi’s trying to repair with his writings, which was destroyed by his experience in the Lager. Throughout the research a hypothesis was delineated, based on the texts of If this is a man and The Drowned and the Saved, that Levi’s writing is an attempt to repair the Good Internal Object; and a corollary, supported by a group of author’s proposals on the incapacity of repair of the Testimonial Literature: the inevitability of failure of such repair attempt, in view of the experienced trauma’s particularities, failure which we seek to understand and explain in view of the Dead Mother theory by André Green. | pt_PT |
