Abstract(s)
O nosso objetivo principal foi o de construir e avaliar um programa de intervenção
que contribuísse para a evolução da aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita de um aluno
com Trissomia 21, com 7 anos de idade a frequentar o 1º ano de escolaridade. Trata-se
de um estudo de caso, em que avaliámos os conhecimentos da criança antes da
intervenção, delineámos e implementámos um programa com 14 sessões na área da
leitura e da escrita, tendo em conta as suas motivações e interesses e avaliámos de
novo os seus conhecimentos após a intervenção.
Tentámos sempre motivar o aluno, através de materiais construídos semana
após semana para o programa de intervenção individualizado, com a leitura de palavras
retiradas dos diferentes livros que o aluno foi escolhendo ao longo das sessões.
Apresentamos uma descrição exaustiva de todas as sessões do programa. Uma análise
qualitativa sobre as diferenças entre a avaliação inicial e final demonstrou a eficácia do
programa desenvolvido na evolução das competências de leitura e de escrita do aluno.
Our goal was to construct and evaluate an intervention program that would contribute to the evolution of the reading and writing acquisition of a student with Trisomy 21, with 7 years of age attending the first year of schooling. This is a case study, in which we evaluated the child's knowledge before the intervention, outlined and implemented a program with 14 sessions in the area of reading and writing, taking into account his motivations and interests and evaluated again his knowledge after the intervention. We always tried to motivate him through materials built week after week for the individualized intervention program, with the reading of words taken from the different books that the student choose during the sessions. We present a comprehensive description of all the sessions of the program. A qualitative analysis on the differences between the initial and the final evaluation demonstrated the effectiveness of the program in the evolution of the student's reading and writing skills.
