Abstract(s)
A presente investigação pretendeu relacionar três temáticas
ABSTRACT: The Attachment Theory and the Object Relations Theories of the psychoanalytical model, though developed in an independent way, are two theories that endeavour to contribute to the understanding of the mental functioning of the human being, and their development is gradually converging in several aspects. The present research has intended to interrelate three thematic, namely the Internal Working Models (IWM), the interpersonal functioning and the quality of the friendships in adolescents with delinquent behaviours. The Representation Narratives of the Attachment in Adults (NRVA) were applied to a sample of 33 adolescents to evaluate the dimensions of the IWM of Attachment, the scale Social Cognition and Object Relations Scale Relations (SCORS), in the Affect-Tone Relationship Paradigms, Capacity for Emotional Investment in Relationships and Morals, and Complexity of Representations of People aiming to understand the interpersonal functioning of the young person, and the Friendship Quality Questionnaire (FQQ) in order to evaluate the quality of the friendships. The results made evident that there is no correlation between the IWM and the dimensions of the SCORS. However, some FQQ sub-scales were found in correlation with the IWM and the SCORS. It was also found a positive correlation between the institutionalization prior to the date of entrance in the educational center and the dimensions of SCORS, and between the confinement regime in educational center and the quality of the friendships. It was thus possible to establish some correlations in what concerns these theorical fields.
