Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: This paper presents the results of the cultural adaptation of the Team Effectiveness Scale to the Portuguese population. The internal consistency and factor structure of the scale were analysed in a sample of 1605 workers from a variety of industries. The three dimensional structure (performance, viability and climate) initially proposed by Aubé e Rousseau (2005) was analysed in a cross-validation design. Results suggest a good fit of the theoretical model and propose the presence of a 2nd order latent factor, both in the training sample and the validating sample. Additionally, good internal consistency values were obtained for the three dimensions, varying between .79 e .91. Finally, the paper discusses the potential methodological and applied implications of the study and presents suggestions for future adaptations of instruments for organizational diagnosis.
