nomeadamente a Entrevista Semi-Estruturada IRMAG-R (Interview of Maternal
No
começando a haver alguma diferenciação mãe-bebé.
ABSTRACT: Problem: This study comes of the necessity to understand what representations pregnant women have about their pregnancy in the different trimesters, taking into account the cultural and social changes of the past 50 years, realizing what occurs in each trimester and what is common to all. Objective: Understand in what way pregnant women of different trimesters live their pregnancy, what are the representations they create, what is changing every three months and the remaining cross at 40 weeks of gestation. Method: This is an exploratory study using a qualitative methodology, namely Interview Semi-Structured IRMAG-R (Interview of Maternal Representations During Pregnancy - Revised Version) which was analyzed by content analysis technique as well as a socio-demographic questionnaire, applied to a sample of 15 pregnant adults, with a homogeneous distribution by trimester. Results: The results indicated that there are specific characteristics of each trimester, in the first mainly occurs awareness and acceptance of pregnancy as well as the beginning of the creation of a maternal identity and the fetus conceived as a being undifferentiated. In the second trimester, the main focus is on fetal movements that make the baby more present, starting to be some mother-infant differentiation. In the third trimester, the woman backs to focus on herself fantasizing about the kind of mother she will be, with a much more concrete Baby representation. The physical changes have an impact on the woman throughout pregnancy, often very cited.
