Ter ou ser? Estudo de caso de uma criança com perturbação da identidade de género

| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo teve por objectivo estudar de forma global e particularizada o caso do Rui, um menino de sete anos que manifestava o desejo de ser menina e comportava-se como tal. Embora tenham sido usadas várias fontes de informação, a técnica da agregação categórica proposta por Robert Stake (1995) foi só aplicada às transcrições das sessões de acompanhamento. O resto do material (documentação, avaliação cognitiva e projectiva, e entrevista à mãe do sujeito) foi usado para efeitos de triangulação dos dados e metodológica. Assim, foram identificados quatro tópicos: O Feminino e O Materno; O Animado e O Inaminado; Omnipotência e Narcisismo Infantil; e Transferência/Contratransferência. Os resultados revelaram que a problemática do Rui situa-se ao nível da identidade, tendo, portanto, uma estrutura pré-psicótica. Apesar de haver sintomatologia franca na expressão do género, a falha não estaria circunscrita à identificação secundária, sendo muito mais arcaica e primária. Os traumas cumulativos e o predomínio das experiências de frustração na relação precoce dificultaram a introjecção estável do bom objecto interno, debilitando todas as internalizações subsequentes e a elaboração da posição depressiva. A ansiedade suscitada pelos sucessivos eventos traumáticos, nomeadamente na altura do Édipo, terão ocasionado a regressão a pontos de fixação na posição esquizoparanoide. Neste contexto, o desejo de ser menina é entendido como tendo vários níveis de significado: a ilusão de fusão narcísica com a mãe, muito próxima de uma ilusão somática; e uma defesa perante o medo de aniquilação suscitado pela dupla ameaça de castração, paterna e materna. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: The present work is the case study of a seven year old, named Rui, who wishes to be a girl and shows a strong and persistent interest in feminine activities and play. Information was obtained from different fonts: documents, cognitive and projective evaluation, observation of play, psychotherapy, and through the mother´s interview. However, the technique of category aggregation proposed by Robert Stake (1995) was only applied on transcripts of play and therapeutic sessions, the rest being used for data and methodological triangulation. Four themes were identified: The Feminine and Maternal; The Animate and Inanimate; Omnipotence and Infantile Narcissism; Transference and Counter-Transference. The results show that Rui´s mental functioning is very primitive, his main problem lying on the construction of identify. Although the most exuberant symptoms are expressed on the realm of gender, his problem is not restricted to this area, but is more primitive and archaic. Cumulative trauma and the preponderance of frustration experiences in early childhood did not allow for the secure introjection of the good internal object, weakening all successive internalizations and the elaboration of the depressive position. The anxiety caused by the several traumatic events at the time of the edipic conflict forced Rui to undergo a regression to fixation points created at the time of the esquizoparanoid position. The wish to be a girl is understood as having several layers of meaning: both as an illusion of a narcissist fusion with the mother figure, closed to a somatic illusion; and a defense against the dread of annihilation aroused by the double threat of castration, paternal and maternal. | por |
