| dc.description.abstract | A violência conjugal é um fenómeno de grande complexidade, onde os comportamentos aceitáveis e não aceitáveis encontram-se em constante mudança. As crenças sobre violência conjugal, numa sociedade civil apresentam o papel da mulher como submissa emocionalmente e dependente socioeconomicamente e surgem como norma pré-estabelecida. Em Portugal, o número de programas de intervenção é diminuto, no entanto, já existem estudos realizados ao nível da intervenção com os agressores de violência conjugal, onde se verifica, entre outros dados, a diminuição do comportamento violento e a alteração de crenças sobre violência conjugal. Esta investigação objetiva avaliar a eficácia de uma intervenção psico-educativa com 18 sessões de grupo para agressores conjugais. A amostra é constituída por 41 participantes do sexo masculino, com idades compreendidas entre os 23 e os 75 anos. 36 participantes encontram-se condenados pelo crime de violência doméstica e 5 são participantes voluntários. Os instrumentos utilizados foram a Escala de Crenças sobre a Violência Conjugal (ECVC) e o Inventário de Violência Conjugal (IVC), em dois momentos diferentes (antes e após a frequência no programa). Os resultados mostraram diferenças marginalmente significativas num fator da ECVC, “Legitimação da Violência pela Conduta da Mulher” (t(40)=1,989; p=0,054) e na dimensão da perpetração da violência medida pelo IVC (Z= -2,294; p=0,022). Verificou-se que os agressores modificaram as suas crenças na banalização e legitimação da violência e reduziram os seus comportamentos violentos contra a companheira. Assim o investimento neste tipo de programas, focando-se nos agressores, demonstra-se como crucial para diminuir a expressão de violência conjugal na sociedade portuguesa. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Marital violence is a phenomenon of great complexity, where acceptable and unacceptable behaviours are constantly changing. Where the beliefs about conjugal violence, in a civil society that presents the role of the emotionally submissive woman and socioeconomically dependent, emerging as pre-established norm. In Portugal, the number of intervention programs is small, however, there are already studies conducted at the intervention level with the aggressors of conjugal violence, where, among other data, there is a decrease in violent behaviour and changing beliefs about violence marital. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a psycho-educational intervention with 18 group sessions for marital offenders. The sample consists of 41 male participants, aged between 23 and 75 years. 36 participants are convicted of the crime of domestic violence and 5 are voluntary participants. The instruments used were the Marital Violence Belief Scale and the Marital Violence Inventory at two different times (before and after the program attendance). The results showed marginally significant differences in one factor of the Marital Violence Belief Scale, “Legitimation of Violence by Women Conduct” (t(40)=1,989; p=0,054) and in the extent of violence perpetrated by Marital Violence Inventory (Z= -2,294; p=0,022). It was found that the aggressors changed their beliefs in the trivialization and legitimation of violence and reduced their violent behaviour against their partner. Thus, the investment in this type of programs, focusing on the aggressors, proves to be crucial to reduce the expression of conjugal violence in Portuguese society. | pt_PT |
