Abstract(s)
na escala The Generic Job Satisfaction, desenvolvida por Macdonald e Maclntyre (1997);
satisfação no trabalho.
The present study aims to analyse the relationship between mindfulness with job satisfaction and with task performance, as well as to explore the mediating role that emotional regulation in the cognitive reappraisal component has in those relationships. The sample consists of 414 participants, in which 235 are females and 179 are males with ages between 21 and 62 years. To assess the level of awareness and attention (mindfulness) the Mindful Attention Scale (MAAS) developed by Brown and Ryan (2003) was used; The cognitive reappraisal was analysed through the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) scale as proposed by Gross and John (2003); The job satisfaction was analysed based on The Generic Job Satisfaction scale, developed by Macdonald and Maclntyre (1997); The perception of task performance was evaluated through the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) scale developed by Koopmans et al. (2012). The results revealed a positive relationship between mindfulness and task performance. However, no mediating role of cognitive reappraisal between mindfulness with job satisfaction was verified.
