Abstract(s)
durante as relações sexuais Nas mulheres, melhor funcionamento sexual o
Literature has been scarce regarding the study of sexual fantasies. Therefore, the objective of this investigation was to examine correlations between sexual functioning and perceived quality of the love relationship, and sexual fantasies (the frequency of several types of fantasy, the degree with which one intends to fulfill them, and the frequency with which they are fulfilled). The frequency of fantasizing was assessed in three different contexts (daydreaming, masturbation and sexual relations). An online questionnaire was completed by 102 women and 37 men. Correlations were detected between better female sexual functioning and lesser frequency of fantasizing about having sex with an acquaintance in masturbation and lesser frequency of fantasizing being seen having sex during sexual relations with the partner. Better male sexual functioning correlated with lesser frequency of several fantasies during sexual relations. In women, better perceived quality of the relation was associated with fantasizing with one’s own partner during sexual relations. In women, better sexual functioning correlated with less desire to have sex with a an acquaintance and better perceived quality of the relationship correlated with less desire to change partner and to have sex with an acquaintance. Men with symptoms of premature ejaculation reported having lower actual frequency of sex with the partner. Better perceived relationship quality correlated with greater frequency of sexual relations with the partner and lesser frequency of partner exchange in women, and with lesser frequency of sex with an acquaintance in men.
