Representações das figuras parentais e dor psicológica : um estudo exploratório

| dc.description.abstract | Resumo: O objectivo deste estudo de cariz exploratório é testar, em adultos da comunidade, a relação entre representações das figuras parentais e dor psicológica. A amostra final é constituída por 164 participantes, com idades entre os 18 e os 65 anos, que responderam à Psychache Scale e ao Inventário para Aceder às Memórias de Infância Relativas às Práticas Parentais (EMBU) e, realizaram uma descrição livre de cada uma das figuras parentais. Estas descrições foram codificadas recorrendo à Escala de Diferenciação e Relacionamento (Escala DR). Os resultados mostraram que à excepção do nível DR para a descrição da figura materna, as restantes cinco variáveis, nível DR para a descrição da figura paterna, rejeição paterna, rejeição materna, sobreprotecção paterna e sobreprotecção materna, se correlacionam significativamente com a variável dor psicológica. Uma análise de regressão múltipla do tipo forward mostrou que as variáveis, nível DR para a descrição da figura paterna, rejeição paterna e sobreprotecção materna deram um contributo significativo para a previsão da dor psicológica, embora explicando uma percentagem baixa de variância da dor psicológica. Este modelo foi corroborado através de Modelação de Equações Estruturais. Os resultados são discutidos no âmbito da teoria psicanalítica e da perspectiva da aceitação-rejeição de Rohner. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The aim of this exploratory study is to test, in community adults, the relationship between of parental representations and psychological pain. The final sample consisted of 164 participants, aged between 18 and 65 years, who have responded to the Psychache Scale and the o Inventory for Assessing Memories of Parental Rearing Behaviour (EMBU) and gave a free description of each parental figure. These descriptions were coded using the Differentiation-Relatedness (D-R) Scale. Results demonstrate that with the exception of the DR level for description of the mother, the remaining five variables DR level for the description of the father, father rejection, mother rejection, father overprotection and mother overprotection correlate significantly with the psychological pain variable. A forward multiple regression analysis showed that the variables DR level for the description of the father, father rejection, and mother overprotection made a significant contribution to the prediction of psychological pain, although explaining a low percentage of variance of psychological pain. This model was corroborated by Structural Equation Modeling. The findings are discussed within the framework of psychoanalytic theory and Rohner's acceptance-rejection perspective. | pt_PT |
