Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como objetivo a adaptação transcultural do instrumento Psy-Flex
de Gloster e colaboradores (2021) a falantes do português de Portugal e português do
Brasil.
corroborando a validação original e a teoria subjacente.
flexibilidade psicológica, mindfulness e bem-estar mental (emocional, social e
ABSTRACT: The present study aimed at the cross-cultural adaptation of the Psy-Flex instrument by Gloster and colleagues (2021) for speakers of Portuguese in Portugal and Brazil. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) indicated that the one-factor model of the Psy-Flex scale was suitable for both samples, with good fit indices, corroborating the original validation and underlying theory. The internal consistency of the scale was considered reasonable, with similar results in both Brazil and Portugal. Convergent validity results demonstrated that Psy-Flex positively correlates with theoretically similar constructs, such as another measure of psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and mental well-being (emotional, social, and psychological). In divergent validity, Psy-Flex showed a negative relationship with measures of experiential avoidance and psychological inflexibility, cognitive fusion, and psychopathology (depression, anxiety, and stress). The samples from Portugal and Brazil exhibited higher levels of psychological flexibility compared to the original article. In summary, the Psy-Flex scale adapted to Portuguese is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing psychological flexibility in research and clinical practice in both countries.
