O presente estudo tem como objetivo expandir a investigação no âmbito das empresas familiares no que toca à perceção de justiça organizacional, às intenções de saída e à resiliência. Tendo o contexto do setor da hotelaria portuguesa como base, pretendeu-se (1) averiguar se existem diferenças entre colaboradores empresas familiares e empresas não familiares no que toca às perceções de justiça organizacional, às intenções de saída e à resiliência, (2) no que toca às empresas familiares, averiguar se existe uma relação entre perceções de justiça organizacional e intenções de saída e se essa relação é mediada pela resiliência. A amostra é composta por 205 participantes dos quais 98 são colaboradores de empresas familiares.
Os resultados obtidos revelam que não existem diferenças entre empresas familiares e empresas não familiares no que toca às três variáveis de estudo. Adicionalmente, evidenciou-se a existência de uma relação negativa entre perceção de justiça organizacional e intenções de saída, sendo a mesma mediada pela resiliência dos colaboradores.
This investigation has the purpose of further enriching and expanding the field of family business with regards to organizational justice, turnover intentions and resilience. Having the Portuguese hotel business as our base, our intent was to (1) ascertain if there were differences between family and non-family business’s employees in their organizational justice perceptions, resilience and turnover intentions, and (2) to the determine if, in the particular case of family businesses, there is a relation between organizational justice perceptions and turnover intensions, and if so, if that relation is mediated by resilience. Our sample included 205 participants, of which 98 are family business employees. The results showed that there are no significant differences between family and non-family businesses for the three beforementioned variables. Additionally, it has been ascertained a significant negative relation between justice organizational perceptions and turnover intensions, which in turn was discerned to be mediated by resilience.
