Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to verify empirically the influence of ographic variables, such as Gender, Qualification Level, Work Contract and Seniority in the practice of Deviant Behaviours (CD) in an organizational context. At the same time, the effect of these variables was studied in interpersonal (CDI) and organizational (CDO) deviant behaviours. There were 252 participants in this study, collaborators of several public and private organizations, in Portuguese territory. For the data collection, a query was elaborated and it consisted of two parts, being the first related to socio-demographic data and the second part to the scale of deviant behaviour of Robinson and Bennet (1995). The results showed significant differences between the socio-demographic variable gender and the CD, CDI and CDO. There were also significant differences between the variable qualification level and the CD, CDI and CDO. There were not found significant differences between work contract and the CD, CDI and CDO. Regarding the variable Seniority, it showed to have a significant impact on both CD and CDO. The same was not verified related to CDI, since there was no significant effect between this variable and Seniority in the organization.
