Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: The psychoanalytic process was a concept that Donald Meltzer (1967) developed, trying to reveal an attitude in the analysis, an attitude of the analyst facing the patient, based on integration, seeking autonomy and internal growth. I try to do a review of the concept, updating it and integrating it in the recent developments of psychoanalysis. I want to make the concept more clearly delineated and in the most ethical manner possible, aiming its use as a broader psychoanalytic concept, hoping that its delineation allows the analysts to have an idea of what happens in the analysis, an idea of where that process they began with the patient is actually going to. I want above all to highlight the analysis as a space of freedom and development, transformation and growth, a space that the patient internalizes, enabling him, in the future, to deal with the problems in a more secure basis.
