| dc.description.abstract | O objetivo deste estudo foi explorar se haveriam diferenças entre os relacionamentos monogâmicos, não-monogâmicos, heterossexuais e não-heterossexuais, no que diz respeito à satisfação relacional, levando em consideração o papel do compromisso relacional (o cumprimento de acordos relacionais consensualmente aceites por todos os companheiros da(s) relação(ões)). Participaram no estudo 874 homens e mulheres que estavam comprometidos numa relação de compromisso no momento do recrutamento, com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e 73 anos (M = 34.66, SD = 11.12). Os resultados revelaram que, a satisfação relacional, a intimidade e o ciúme, foram significativamente maiores entre os participantes heterossexuais monogâmicos, em comparação com todos os outros três grupos (heterossexuais não monogâmicos, não-heterossexuais monogâmicos, e não-heterossexuais não-monogâmicos). Os resultados sugeriram que, a identidade sexual e o acordo relacional tinham efeitos significativos e positivos sobre a satisfação relacional, a intimidade e o ciúme. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to explore whether there would be differences between monogamous-, non-monogamous-, heterosexual-, and non-heterosexual- relationships, with regard to relational satisfaction, taking into account the role of relational commitment (the compliance with consensually accepted relational agreements made by all members of the relationship(s)). Eight hundred and seventy eight participants were recruited, who were committed to a committed relationship at the time of recruitment, and were aged between 18 and 73 years (M = 34.66, SD = 12.11), in order to respond to an anonymous online questionnaire. The results revealed that, relational satisfaction, intimacy and jealousy were significantly higher among monogamous heterosexual participants, compared to all the other three groups (non-monogamous heterosexuals, monogamous non-heterosexuals, and non-monogamous non-heterosexuals). The findings suggested that, sexual identity and relational agreement had significant and positive effects on relational satisfaction, intimacy and jealousy. | pt_PT |
