ABSTRACT: Visual impairment (or blindness) can be either congenital or aquired. The first referes to when a person is born unable to see or with a severe visual impairment, while the second refers to a person which, during his/her life, loses its sight. This study consisted in the interview of three subjects: one congenital blind, one aquired blind and a sighted person, and focused on analysing the reports of their dreams to understand the process of dreaming in the visual impaired, while also exploring the differences in the dreams of the latter and the sighted subject. The analysis of the dream reports allowed to understand that the dream is a space of psychic creation and that is expresses in a way the dreamer is able to understand and see, on his own way, even when the dreamer is visual impaired.
