The concept of stalking can be defined as the willful, malicious and repeated persecution and harassment of another person who will thus feel their security threatened (Meloy & Gothard, 1995). This behavior is inscribed with several variables such as the dominant behaviors between partners, which can take three different forms: authority, restrictiveness and disparagement (Hamby, 1996). This study was conducted with the aim to understand if a population convicted of crimes against persons, more properly, the crime against sexual freedom, rape, the crime against physical integrity, domestic violence and the crime against life, homicide, offenders during the pre-time offense presented behaviors of stalking in order to understand whether the stalking may act as a risk factor for these problematic. It is also intended to notice if the domain variable is perpetrated by individuals convicted of the aforementioned crimes and if it may relate to the conduct of stalking as well as how influences it. Therefore, sixty-six individuals convicted of the crimes mentioned participated from several prisons where they were asked to answer the instruments, Unwanted Pursuit Behavior Inventory (Langhinrichsen-Rohling, Palarea, Cohen & Rohling, 2002) and The Dominance Scale (Hamby, 1996). The results revealed no statistically significant differences between the three types of crime and stalking behaviors, nor between the three types of crime and dominant behaviors. Moreover stalking was related positively with the dominance.
