Quem sou eu? Psicanálise, memória episódica e insight

Abstract(s)
Objetivo: A psicoterapia psicanalítica tem sido amplamente debatida e estudada. O
objetivo desta revisão é compreender a importância da memória episódica e do insight
para a psicanálise e psicoterapia psicanalítica, de forma a perceber o estado de arte da
investigação neste âmbito. Método: Realizaram-se pesquisas sistemáticas nas bases
electrónicas: PsycInfo, PsycARTICLES, PEP, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences
Collection, Academic Search Complete e Researchgate, pelos termos, psicoterapia
psicanalítica e psychoanalytic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, episodic memory,
memória episódica e insight. Resultados: As pesquisas mostram uma considerável
quantidade informação conceptual sobre a memória episódica e o insight na teoria
psicanalítica. No entanto, a pesquisa de artigos empíricos revelou que são escassos os
estudos acerca do fenómeno da recordação episódica e do de insight. O que se verifica
ainda mais se se indagar acerca da sua preponderância ao longo do processo analítico.
Conclusões: Na teoria e tratamento psicanalítico os conceitos de memória episódica e
insight adquirem uma grande relevância. Estes conceitos parecem estar associados para
a efetividade da psicoterapia, apesar de não se conseguir averiguar empiricamente de
que modo contribuem para esta.

The main purpose of this review is understanding the importance of insight and episodic memories for the psychoanalysis and for psychoanalytic psychotherapy and comprehend the state of art of research in this area. Method: Several systemic researches have been made through various electronic databases such has: PsycInfo, PsycARTICLES, PEP, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Academic Search Complete and Researchgate, by the terms psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychoanalytic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, episodic memory and insight. Results: The research shows a considerable amount of conceptual information about episodic memory and insight, in psychoanalytic theory. However, research on empirical articles reveals that studies about insight and the episodic memory phenomenon appear to be scarce. This is also verified when we inquire about its preponderance through the analytic process. Conclusion: In psychoanalytic theory and psychoanalytic treatment the concept of episodic memory and insight appear to have a considerable relevance. These two terms seem to be associated to the psychotherapy effectiveness, although it’s not possible to empirically check their contribution to itself.
