Satisfação sexual: Como e para quê? Um estudo sobre diferenças de género nos determinantes e contributos da satisfação sexual

Este trabalho tem como objectivos identificar predictores da satisfação sexual,
estudando a sua relação com factores sócio-demográficos e comportamentos sexuais,
e analisando respectivas diferenças de género. Estuda ainda em que medida a
satisfação sexual contribui noutras áreas da vida em homens e mulheres. Foi realizado
com uma amostra de 138 homens entre os 18 e os 57 anos e 271 mulheres entre os
18 e os 59 anos, que participaram no estudo através de um questionário de autoresposta
alojado num site na Internet, e divulgado por e-mail e em blogs.
Foram encontradas diferenças significativas face à satisfação sexual nas
variáveis “relação de compromisso”, “frequência de relações sexuais”, “importância
das relações sexuais”, “dificuldades sexuais”, “satisfação com a frequência de relações
sexuais”, “duração da relação de compromisso” e “orgasmo nas relações sexuais” (as
duas últimas apenas nas mulheres). Foram encontradas correlações significativas,
fracas/moderadas, nas variáveis “habilitações literárias”, “relação de compromisso”,
“frequência de relações sexuais”, “orgasmo nas relações sexuais”, “importância das
relações sexuais”, para ambos os géneros e na “importância do orgasmo” e “orgasmo
na masturbação” apenas nos homens. Houve algumas diferenças significativas nos
factores que homens e mulheres escolheram como importantes para a sua satisfação
sexual e como contributos da sua satisfação sexual, no entanto escolheram o mesmo
número de factores pessoais e relacionais, não havendo diferenças neste aspecto.
This work aims to identify predictors of sexual satisfaction, studying its relationship with socio-demographic factors and sexual behavior, and analyzing gender differences. Studies too in what way does sexual satisfaction contributes to other areas of men and women´s lifes. It was conducted with a sample of 138 men between 18 and 57 years, and 271 women between 18 and 59 years old, who participated in the study through a questionnaire of self-response put in a site on the Internet and circulated by e-mail and blogs. There were significant differences in sexual satisfaction on the variables “commitment relationship”, “frequency of intercourse”, “importance of sex”, “sexual difficulties”, satisfaction with the frequency of intercourse”, “duration of the commitment relationship”, and “orgasm trough sexual relationships” (the last two only in women). There were found significant low/moderate correlations, in the variables “education”, “commitment relationship”, “frequency of intercourse”, "orgasm in sexual relations", "importance of sex" for both genders, and "importance of orgasm" and “orgasm in masturbation” only in men. There were some significant differences in the factors that men and women chosen as important for their sexual satisfaction, and the contributions of their sexual satisfaction, however both genders chose the same number of personal and relational factors, with no differences in this aspect.
