Abstract(s)
O presente artigo toma como base a investigação
que realizei sobre a organização pedagógica e a administração dos liceus, em Portugal, no período compreendido
entre 1836 e 1960.
Esta investigação desenvolveu-se segundo dois
planos de análise: o plano das normas definidas pela
legislação e o plano da sua aplicação prática.
O primeiro, permitiu fazer uma reconstrução histórica
das origens, finalidades e processos que estão na
base da criação de uma organização pedagógica específica
para o ensino das diferentes disciplinas (o regime
de classes) e o modo como se transitou de uma
normativização pedagógica para uma normativização
administrativa.
O segundo, permitiu recontextualizar a aplicação
das normas que foram sendo definidas sobre a organização
e administração escolar através da análise do relato
das práticas dos diferentes reitores no período
considerado.
Para além de apresentar, de modo abreviado, a problemática
de origem e alguns dos resultados mais
significativos dessa investigação, o artigo contém
uma reflexão metodológica sobre as diferentes abordagens
disciplinares que foram utilizadas. Nesse sentido
é posto em evidência o contributo que a História
da Educação, a Sociologia das Organizações e a Administração
Educacional tiveram na formulação dos próprios
quadros conceptuais e na construção dos instrumentos
metodológicos de recolha e análise de dados.
ABSTRACT: The current exposition is based on my research about Portuguese pedagogical organisation and high school management, from 1836 to 1960. This research has been developed according to two analysis plans: the plan of the rules as defined by the legislation and the plan of their practical application. The first one has enabled me to reconstruct historically the origins, purposes and proceedings which led to the creation of a specific pedagogical organisation for the teaching of the differents subject matters (the class regime), and how a pedagogical organisation has became a management organisation. The second one has enabled me to recontextualize the application of the rules defining school organisation and management, trough the analysis of the different headmasters practices during the same period of time. Besides presenting a summary of the problems of origin and some of the more meaningful results of that investigation, the exposition contains a methodological reflection about its different disciplinary approaches. Thus, the role which the History of Education, the Sociology of Organisations and School Management have had in the formulation of the conceptual frameworks themselves and the creation of methodological tools of data gathering and analysis is emphasised.
