Abstract(s)
Contudo, a literatura revista
significativo destes facilitadores.
ABSTRACT: With the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, confinements and the security measures inherent to it, many barriers were created to the practice of physical activity, for example, by the closure of spaces for this purpose, such as gyms. Faced with this situation, several researchers dedicated themselves to understanding the consequences of the pandemic at different levels. However, the reviewed literature presents some gaps regarding the practice of physical exercise and, with this motivation, this dissertation seeks to understand which factors of the COM-B model (Capacity, Opportunity and Motivation) that, in a more or less significant way, influence maintaining physical activity. Taking into account the population-based nature of this study, 259 participants (M = 29.60 years old; SD = 9.92) were asked to participate, completing a questionnaire regarding the assessment of physical activity and determinants of maintenance of physical activity. The main results reveal that physical opportunity and motivation are the most important facilitators for maintaining physical activity. However, it also appears that only automatic motivation proved to be a significant predictor of these facilitators.
