As principais limitações
escolaridade.
Members of the bisexual community face a unique challenge: being stigmatised not only by the heterosexual community, but also by other members of the LGBT community. There are few studies focused exclusively on the experiences and interpersonal relationships of bisexual individuals. Thus, the main objective of this dissertation is to explore how stigma is experienced in the various dimensions of interpersonal relationships, namely, romantic relationships, family relationships, friendships, and relationships with the LGBTQ+ community. Despite the various existing theories for conceptualising stigma, Meyer's (2003) minority stress theory was used. Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight participants with bisexual sexual orientation, over 18 years of age, who had at least two romantic relationships. Results: revealed that any interpersonal relationship of the participants could be harmed due to existing stigma. It was also found that the LGBT community is a polarising topic among participants and the importance of romantic development in the relationships of bisexual individuals. The main limitations of this study focused on the methodology, as a subjective approach was used, and on the sample, due to its homogeneity in terms of gender, age, and education.
