Abstract(s)
O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar a relação de dois recursos do
trabalho - suporte social e feedback do trabalho - com o desempenho contextual e o papel
mediador do work engagement e do equilíbrio trabalho-família nessa relação. Realizouse
um estudo quantitativo com base numa amostra de conveniência constituída por 225
indivíduos profissionalmente ativos, os quais responderam voluntariamente a um
questionário online. A análise dos dados, através de regressões múltiplas, revelou que o
suporte social e o feedback do trabalho têm um efeito positivo e significativo no
desempenho contextual. Observou-se também uma mediação parcial paralela do work
engagement e do equilíbrio trabalho-família na relação entre o suporte social e o
feedback do trabalho com o desempenho contextual. O presente estudo realça a
necessidade de reflexão, por parte das organizações, a respeito da relevância dos recursos
do trabalho, do work engagement e do equilíbrio trabalho-família para a componente
contextual do desempenho dos seus colaboradores. Uma organização que proporcione
recursos de trabalho aos seus trabalhadores, como suporte social e feedback do trabalho,
que ofereça políticas organizacionais que promovam o work engagement e o equilíbrio
trabalho-família, verifica-se uma maior probabilidade de o desempenho contextual dos
trabalhadores aumentar, contribuindo para o ambiente organizacional, social e
psicológico da organização.
The purpose of the present study is to analyze the relationship between two work resources - social support and feedback from job - and the contextual performance as well as the mediating role of work engagement and work-family balance in this relationship. A quantitative study was carried out based on a convenience sample consisting of 225 professionally active individuals, who voluntarily answered an online questionnaire. Data analysis, using multiple regressions, revealed that social support and feedback from job has a positive and significant effect on contextual performance. A partial parallel mediation of work engagement and work-family balance in the relationship between social support and feedback from job with contextual performance was also observed. This study highlights the need for reflection on the part of organizations regarding the relevance of work resources, namely, work engagement and work-family balance for the contextual component of the performance of their employees. An organization that provides work resources to its workers, such as social support and feedback from job, that offers organizational policies that promotes work engagement and work-family balance, is more likely to increase the contextual performance of their workers, contributing to the organizational, social and psychological environment of the organization.
