Abstract(s)
This final report was carried out within the curricular unit of Supervised Practice in Kindergarten, in order to obtain a Master's Degree in Pre-School Education. It refers to a detailed description of the work developed in the context of kindergarten with children from three to five years old, framed in a rural environment. The problem that emerged from the observation in the classroom context was that the children were not able to recognize and put the waste materials in the correct recycling bin, neither they were conscious for small attitudes related to the theme. Also, they revealed some interest in constructing some new materials. This way, the supervised practice was based on a set of proposals in the scope of Environmental Education, directed to the reuse of different materials, alerting the children to an environmental awareness and how small gestures can take care of the local environment fomenting the active concern in the Planet. Several authors believe on an education designed to promote the respect of the environment, therefore creating new attitudes that are born with future generations, promoting a healthy and sustainable planet. This work was supported in a qualitative methodology, using as instruments of intervention the participant observation and the field notes, trying to collect all possible data in a naturalistic way.
