ABSTRACT: Introduction: The loss of a child is always a traumatism associated with the loss of a love object in full narcissistic and libidinal investment (Keating & Seabra, 1994). However, there are no specific studies about the psychological experiences of women who have undergone several perinatal losses. Thus, the primary aim of this study is to know, describe and understand the process of mourning and grief work in cases of perinatal loss and the specific aim concerns with a deeper understanding of the subjective experience of a mother who suffered several perinatal losses. Method: Qualitative approach, the case study type, with an exploratory nature, and was obtained a purposeful and convenience sample constituted by a single female subject. We used a non-directive interview, the Rorschach projective technique, the Posttraumatic Development Inventory and Perinatal Grief Scale. Results: She described feelings of shock, daze, guilt, loneliness, helplessness, injustice and isolation throughout its process. Nevertheless, the marital support proved to be effective. Still, were notorious difficulties in Coping Strategies for dealing with losses, identity difficulties and the existence of a depressive nucleus associated with feelings of sadness and emptiness. Conclusion: The emergence of fantasmatic charges related to prematurity and losses make the defense mechanisms are increasingly weak. Thus, it becomes essential to "grab" this woman and help her create new effective strategies to integrate all aspects of your life and to find emotional balance.
