Abstract(s)
A segunda
A análise destes
ABSTRACT: The subject of this report is "The Management of a Mixed Class (1st and 2nd Year of Primary School)", based on the practice of a curricular internship in primary school, in a mixed class of 1st and 2nd graders, from a public school in Lisbon, with the aim of investigating the management of learning in mixed classes and the benefits of partnership activities for students. This report followed a qualitative methodology, using instruments to collect and analyze data at two different stages. The first 14-day phase was dedicated to non-participant observation, using an observation grid and logbook entries, and was complemented by an interview with the teacher. The analysis of the data showed a lack of collaborative work habits in the class and the identification of the need to create activities that put into practice the content taught to promote collaborative work between students. The second phase was dedicated to participant observation of three activities (in the fields of Portuguese Language, Mathematics and Environmental Studies) that were implemented with the aim of promoting collaborative habits among students. This non-participant observation made use of an observation grid and logbook entries as well, and was complemented by a new interview with the teacher and a survey for each student. The analysis of this data revealed a significant improvement in the class in relation to the students.
