ABSTRACT: Issue: Studies crossing Theatre and Psychology are usually related to the work of the actor itself and show that it allows him/her a comprehensive self-knowledge. Nevertheless, the research of the a priori conditions that must be present in order to create an adequate space for self-knowledge is still missing. Main goal: Investigate Self-Knowledge space required conditions. Method: The investigation is based on semi-structured interviews applied to six dISPAr Teatro participants, in which they reflect about conditions that allow self-knowledge within the group. Results: Self-Knowledge space development implies some conditions from the Group, Individual, Director and Egregor that culminate in five general and final conditions: Trust, Respect and Recognition, Lack of Evaluative Pressure, Freedom and Challenge. Results of the analysis finally allow the conclusion that within dISPAr Teatro some common therapeutic characteristics are present.
