Abstract(s)

Is used a socio-demographic questionnaire, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale gauged for portuguese population by Santos & Maia (2003) and the Instrumental and Expressive Social Support Scale by Ensel & Woelfel, portuguese version from Paixão & Oliveira (1996). The results show a strong correlation between self-esteem and social support, as well a relation between the first variable and the relapse. The are also significative relations between these variables and the marital status.
