Abstract(s)
O objectivo deste estudo foi realizar a validação factorial de uma escala que avalia as estratégias
antecipadas de conciliação da vida familiar e profissional. No estudo participaram 746 estudantes
universitários e jovens licenciados a exercer uma actividade profissional. Com o objectivo de validar a
estrutura factorial das medidas, vários modelos foram testados recorrendo a Análises Factoriais
Exploratórias e Confirmatórias. Os resultados obtidos confirmam a estrutura factorial da Escala de
Avaliação de Estratégias de Conciliação da Vida Familiar e Profissional composta por dois factores
correlacionados: o primeiro corresponde ao nível conceptual a estratégias para conciliar a vida familiar
e profissional que se baseiam na necessidade de efectuar concessões ao nível pessoal, familiar e
profissional. Já no segundo saturam itens que apontam para uma estratégia de conciliação de papéis
baseada na necessidade de negociação no casal e partilha de papéis. O estudo preliminar com recurso
ao instrumento foi efectuado junto de 101 tríades familiares (pai, mãe e jovem adulto com formação
universitária). Os resultados obtidos permitem evidenciar a importância do instrumento para a
avaliação de estratégias antecipadas e concretizadas de conciliação de papéis em diferentes gerações.
ABSTRACT: The goal of this study was to validate a measure for the anticipated strategies to reconcile family and work roles. Sample was composed of 746 college students and young professional with an university degree. Several exploratory and confirmatory factorial analyses were performed in order to check the scales structure. Results have shown a bi-factorial structure for the Family and Work Reconciling Strategies Scale: first factor is conceptually based on a personal, familial and professional renouncement in order to promote multiple role reconciliation. The second factor is a strategy that is based on couple negotiation and role sharing. A preliminary study with the scale was run with 101 families with and adultchild (father, mother and adult-child with university degree). Results obtained are in line with the importance of the scale to assess strategies for family and work reconciliation in different generations.
