Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT------The purpose of the present work is the construction process and the validation of Night life questionnaire: the sleep and the dream concerning adult population. This study, which involved the analysis of six factorial hypothetical structures, has developed in two moments, pre-test (N=30) and definitive (N=676), that evidenced metrical difficulties regarding operationalisation of the said structures. After the analysis of the major components, the instrument was divided in two parts: part I is a unidimensional scale which includes 30 items; part II comprehends 81 items distributed by four dimensions. The form of reply to the questionnaire’s items materialises in a rating scale of likert-type with five points. The scales and the sub-scales defined by factorial structure show an adjusted Cronbach alpha. The redundancy of the items comprehending part I was inspected and, in what part II is concerned, the items’ converging-discriminating validity was researched. On the theoretical level we have apprehended the dream’s expressions present in psychoanalysis and in neurosciences, envisaging the determination of the similarities and the differences. In the conclusions, we have systemised the most important ideas discussed throughout the work including the questionnaire’s validity not only in its use on psychoanalysis’ practice but also on the research before adult population.
