Abstract(s)
amostra forense (n = 221; M = 15.86 anos; DP = 1.31 anos; amplitude = 13-20 anos)
The aim of the present study was to analyze the role played by psychopathic traits, behavior problems, delinquent behaviors and self-esteem in juvenile delinquency. With a total sample of 543 male participants, subdivided in forensic sample (n = 221; M = 15.86 years; SD = 1.31 years; range = 13-20 years) and school sample (n = 322; M = 16.03 years; SD = 1.62 years; range = 12-20 years), the results showed that youths from the forensic sample score higher on psychopathic traits, behavior problems and delinquent behaviors; they also score lower on self-esteem. A binary logistic regression model supported the importance of these predictor variables.
