Abstract(s)
Entendendo-se a leitura como um acto cognitivo,
considera-se fundamental para a sua aprendizagem
que se construam, numa fase inicial, representações adequadas sobre as funções e características desta
etapa.
Para tal, é necessário que as crianças descubram
propriedades da linguagem que são represen&,das
na escrita e quais as regras que permitem a passagem
das unidades de linguagem oral aos signos escritos.
Levar a esta tomada de consciência parece ser um
dos trabalhos mais importantes a desenvolver no
primeiro ano de escolaridade, trabalho esse que deve
ser prévio ao da iniciação hs técnicas de decifração.
ABSTRACT: Learner’s development of reading, considered as a skill, requires in a first stage, the understanding of its purposes and intentions. This task also requires the understanding of the ways in which speech is coded in the writing system and which are the rules for relating speech units to print units. the first year of p-asr school, before initiahg children to the decoding process. Teachers should promote the awareness of the purposes of literary and of how our writing system represents language.
