Abstract(s)
intensificação do trabalho e a satisfação no trabalho, destacando o papel mediador do bemestar afetivo.
ABSTRACT: The main aim of this study was to explore the relationship between work intensification and job satisfaction, highlighting the mediating role of affective well-being. An online questionnaire was applied and answered by 251 participants, the results of which support the study's hypotheses, revealing that work intensification negatively influences job satisfaction and that this relationship is partially mediated by affective well-being. This mediation suggests that lower levels of affective well-being resulting from greater work intensification contribute to lower job satisfaction. These results have significant practical implications for organisational management, highlighting the need to find a balance between productivity demands and employee wellbeing. The study's limitations include the fact that the sample was non-probabilistic and cross-sectional, which prevents the generalizability of the results and the inference of causality. Future studies should consider controlling for organisational contextual variables and using a representative sample.
