Abstract(s)
e as práticas operam atualmente.
ABSTRACT: Domestic violence, which is still a major issue today, needs the contributions of women survivors of domestic violence more than ever, to understand the phenomenon. Using the Capabilities Approach and the JARS Premisses as a basis, the aim of this study is to give women survivors a voice again, using a qualitative investigation that analyses focus groups from the Rede de Pares Project. A research question was posed, which aims to understand how women survivors use their capabilities in the process of overcoming, and understanding at the same time, which of them should be promoted by support services, contributing in that way to rethinking the actions of support services with recommendations based on their reports and literature. It was thus found that in the various Premisses, the capabilities Practical Reason and Critical Reflection; Life and Health; Affiliation, Social and Community Interactions and Physical Integrity are those that are called into question by the way the system and practices currently operate.
