Abstract(s)
Problema: No âmbito da investigação em psicoterapia existencial, atualmente, ainda existe uma lacuna nos estudos de processo de mudança em psicoterapias breves de inspiração existencial. Lacuna que necessita de ser combatida, visto as exigências socioeconómicas atuais evidenciarem a necessidade de terapias focalizadas nos objetivos de mudança dos clientes.
Objetivo: Como contribuição para a investigação em psicoterapia existencial, o presente estudo tem como principal objetivo, compreender se as psicoterapias breves de orientação existencial são eficientes de forma a permitirem a ocorrência do processo de mudança, segundo a visão do cliente.
Método: Análise de duas entrevistas, com base no protocolo de Entrevista de Mudança Psicoterapêutica do Cliente (EMP; Sales et al., 2007), efetuadas a dois participantes com dez sessões de psicoterapia existencial breve, através do Método Fenomenológico de Investigação. Foi também realizada uma análise qualitativa do CORE-OM e PQ, das duas participantes na primeira e última sessão de psicoterapia.
Resultados: Os dados obtidos permitem sugerir a existência de mudança nas duas participantes ao longo do processo terapêutico (EMP), que levaram a uma melhoria do seu bem-estar (CORE-OM), e do seu grau de mal-estar face aos problemas identificados no seu projeto de vida (PQ).
Conclusão: Relativamente à eficiência das psicoterapias breves, verifica-se que estas produziram mudanças, apesar de o limite fixo de sessões não ter permitido concluir o processo de mudança pretendido pelas participantes.
ABSTRACT: Problem: In research in existential psychotherapy, currently, there is still a gap in the study of the process of change in brief psychotherapies existential inspiration. Gap that needs to be combated, since the current socio-economic requirements demonstrating the need for targeted therapies in customer change objectives. Objective: As a contribution to research in existential psychotherapy, the main objective of this study is to understand if existential orientation brief psychotherapies are efficient in order to allow the process of change to occur, according to the client's vision. Method: Analysis of two interviews, based on the Customer Psychotherapeutic Change Interview Protocol (EMP;. Sales et al, 2007), made by the two participants with ten sessions of existential psychotherapy, through the phenomenological method of research. Was also carried out a qualitative analysis of CORE-OM and PQ, of the two participants in the first and last psychotherapy session. Results: The data suggest the existence of change in the two participants throughout the therapeutic process (EMP), which brought an improvement in their welfare (CORE-OM), and its degree of unease face the problems identified in its life project (PQ). Conclusion: Regarding efficiency of short psychotherapy, it appears that these changes produced, although the fixed limit sessions have not allowed complete the desired shift process by the participants.
