Abstract(s)
O objetivo primordial do presente estudo advém do vasto interesse em compreender e dar a entender a experiência subjetiva dos jovens sob medida de internamento em centro educativo. É assim pretendido com este trabalho compreender a essência das vivências pelas vozes dos próprios, para que se torne possível a adaptação do sistema judicial às necessidades específicas destes jovens. Para que não se intervenha apenas na padronização dos comportamentos, como é possível averiguar na vasta literatura existente acerca desta problemática. Este trabalho diferencia-se dos outros trabalhos qualitativos, por se constituir como um estudo fenomenológico da experiência destes jovens, e para que a partir daqui seja possível a compreensão dos técnicos e dos demais intervenientes sobre a adequação da sua intervenção. Na sua formalidade apresenta-se único, pelos resultados conseguidos, podendo ser utilizado para futuros trabalhos científicos.
A metodologia utilizada introduz-se numa investigação qualitativa a par com o método fenomenológico de Amadeo Giorgi, com o intuito de alcançar a essência do fenómeno em estudo. A Amostra é constituída por dez participantes, sete do sexo masculino e três do sexo feminino com idades entre os 15-18 anos, encontrando-se em regime semiaberto e fechado de dois centros educativos. Os resultados conseguidos, remetem para a existência de sete constituintes essenciais; vulnerabilidades emocionais, a mudança, o crescimento e as aprendizagens, a adaptação, o confronto com a liberdade condicionada, a rede de suporte, a valorização académica, e a responsabilização das ações. Através destes, é passível, a compreensão do impacto da institucionalização nestes jovens, contribuindo com uma nova investigação.
The main objective of the present study comes from the vast interest in understanding and giving an understanding of the subjective experience of young people as they are admitted to an educational center. It is thus intended with this work to understand the essence of the experiences through their own voices, so that it becomes possible to adapt the judicial system to the specific needs of these young people. So as not to intervene only in the standardization of behaviors, as can be found in the vast literature on this problem. This work differs from other qualitative studies, as it constitutes a phenomenological study of the experience of these young people, so that from here on, it is possible for the technicians and other participants to understand the adequacy of their intervention. In its formality it presents itself unique, for the results achieved, and can be used for future scientific work. The methodology used is introduced in a qualitative research along with the phenomenological method of Amadeo Giorgi, in order to achieve the essence of the phenomenon under study. The sample consists of ten participants, seven males and three females aged between 15-18 years, being in semi-open and closed regime of two educational centers. The results obtained refer to the existence of seven essential constituents; emotional vulnerabilities, change, growth and learning, adaptation, confrontation with conditioned freedom, support network, academic valorization, and accountability of actions. Through these, it is possible to understand the impact of institutionalization on these young people, contributing to a new research.
