Problema.
Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation (YP – CORE) – Versão Portuguesa, e Simplified
Todavia, a
No entanto, é necessário
Problem. To this day there are no empirical studies about the efficiency of Existential Psychotherapy with children. Objective. The objective is to assess the efficiency of Existential Psychotherapy with children. Method. The sample was comprised of 2 participants females, with 7 and 12 years who did Existential Psychotherapy. The 7 years old participant had 13 therapeutic sessions and 12 years old participant had 10 sessions. The quantitative data was obtained before and after therapy using the following instruments: Young Person’s Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation (YP – CORE) – Portuguese Version and Simplified Personal Questionnaire (PQ) – Children adapted version. The qualitative data was obtained using the Client Change Interview (CCI) and was analised with the phenomenological method of research. Results. The results of YP-CORE are not statistically significant. Yet, the analysis of CCI and PQ show changes in both participants. Conclusion. The existential therapy with children seems to be efficient. However it’s necessary a larger number of sessions for it to be possible to observe more improvements.
